Murray,

You're obviously free to use 0.9.3 ;-) just keep in mind that the code has been reworked from ground up in 0.9.4 and I do not think you'll learn much applicable from hacking older m2eclipse versions to work with WTP. Except for war overlay support and few smaller bugs, m2eclipse 0.9.4 offers "WTP and M2 integration OOTB" and we do not plan any development or bugfixes of older versions.

By following the guide at http://www.devx.com/Java/Article/36785, I
can make it work with WTP though can't I?

I'm going to see if I can build up my understanding of the tool with
the 0.9.3 if I can, get my project working 100%, then start over and
switch to 0.9.4 once I have a better understanding of whats going on
(and can tolerate bugs a bit better :-)).

Well to answer my own question, despite the pom.xml having only a
single version of each jar, there were actually multiple versions of
the .jars in my web-inf/lib folder. Looks like something is majorly
mucked up.

I'm going to start with a fresh version of eclipse and 0.93 of
m2eclipse and start over I think.

Please note that 0.9.3 does not support WTP. So it would be great if you
could figure out the sequence that brought you into that state.

 Eugene
