Admittedly, this may not be an m2eclipse problem, but I don't know where else
to start.

So I'm working on a Struts2 project, here is my pom.xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<project>

        ...

        <dependencies>
                <!-- Junit -->
                <dependency>
                        <groupId>junit</groupId>
                        <artifactId>junit</artifactId>
                        <version>3.8.1</version>
                        <scope>test</scope>
                </dependency>

                <!--  Struts 2 -->
                <dependency>
            <groupId>org.apache.struts</groupId>
            <artifactId>struts2-core</artifactId>
            <version>2.0.9</version>
        </dependency>
        <dependency>
            <groupId>org.apache.struts</groupId>
            <artifactId>struts2-sitemesh-plugin</artifactId>
            <version>2.0.9</version>
        </dependency>
        <dependency>
            <groupId>org.apache.struts</groupId>
            <artifactId>struts2-spring-plugin</artifactId>
            <version>2.0.9</version>
        </dependency>

                <!-- Servlet & Jsp -->
                <dependency>
                        <groupId>javax.servlet</groupId>
                        <artifactId>servlet-api</artifactId>
                        <version>2.4</version>
                        <scope>provided</scope>
                </dependency>
                <dependency>
                        <groupId>javax.servlet</groupId>
                        <artifactId>jsp-api</artifactId>
                        <version>2.0</version>
                        <scope>provided</scope>
                </dependency>

                <!-- Jakarta Commons -->
                <dependency>
                        <groupId>commons-fileupload</groupId>
                        <artifactId>commons-fileupload</artifactId>
                        <version>1.1.1</version>
                </dependency>

                <!-- Dwr -->
                <dependency>
                        <groupId>uk.ltd.getahead</groupId>
                        <artifactId>dwr</artifactId>
                        <version>1.1-beta-3</version>
                </dependency>
    </dependencies>

    <build>
      <finalName>site</finalName>
        <plugins>
                <plugin>
                <artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
                <configuration>
                   <source>1.5</source>
                   <target>1.5</target>
                </configuration>
            </plugin>
                <plugin>
                        <groupId>org.mortbay.jetty</groupId>
                        <artifactId>maven-jetty-plugin</artifactId>
                        <version>6.0.1</version>
                        <configuration>
                                <scanIntervalSeconds>10</scanIntervalSeconds>
                        </configuration>
                </plugin>
        </plugins>
    </build>
</project>

I'd like to use the mysql-connector-java JDBC driver, but after I add this
dependency and run the project in Tomcat, the actions are no longer
recognizable and the entire project fails. Even after I remove the
dependency, the project does not recover, and I need to setup an entirely
new project from our versioning repository in order to get it working again.

I've tried adding the dependency two different ways: once by right-clicking
on pom.xml -> Maven -> Add depedency, and also by explicitly adding these
lines:

<dependency>
  <groupId>mysql</groupId>
  <artifactId>mysql-connector-java</artifactId>
  <version>5.1.6</version>
</dependency>

Again, both result in errors on our build. Namely:

There is no Action mapped for action name test. - [unknown location]

com.opensymphony.xwork2.DefaultActionProxy.prepare(DefaultActionProxy.java:186)
   ...

This error does not appear before adding the dependency.

Any ideas?

Thanks
