Hi,

regarding the ear facet version, I'm afraid we can't control much things.
Ear facet version is needed in order to create a WTP EAR Project. We
currently (in http://svn.sonatype.org/m2eclipse/branches/ear-support/
) determine the facet version from the  <version> tag in the maven ear
configuration.
So far, WTP (2.0.x -> 3.0.1) doesn't let you remove or change a JEE
facet version once it's set.
