Hi Eugene, The problem seems to be that the index produced by Nexus (in some cases, there is a work-around) can't be used my m2eclipse to find classes in the artifacts. What is confusing for the user of m2eclipse however, is that the index is ok for browsing in the Maven Indexes view (in Eclipse). I'm not sure how to improve this. Possibly some note in the Open Type from Maven functionality if m2eclipse can tell that some indexes can't be used for searching, or some way of telling what indexes provide class search info. There is info on how to reproduce the scenario in the Nexus jira NEXUS-844.
