But when selecting multiple projects at once, you don't have the option to
rename the projects in the workspace anymore. So we still have the problem
to check out the trunk and branch at the same time.
That is not something provided by m2eclipse, so there isn't anything
we can do about it. You would have to request enhancements to the
corresponding plugins, e.g. Subclipse.
So will it override the existing eclipse project files, loosing some stored
info, or will it only modify the relevant portions of the existing files,
ignoring/preserving unrelated info?
Because you are not telling us what Eclipse plugins you are using, I
have no way to tell if their configuration will be removed or not. So, I
suppose you will have to try it for yourself and see if it works.
