Guys, can you please submit a bug report to the project issue tracker at http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MNGECLIPSE

Please provide the following information (give as much details as you can):

* your Eclipse configuration details from Help / About Eclipse SDK / Configuration Details
 put it into attachment instead of pasting into the comments
* output from Maven console
* command line details from the launch configuration
see http://docs.codehaus.org/display/M2ECLIPSE/Project+FAQ#ProjectFAQ-process
* sample project that would demonstrate this issue
* thread dump from Eclipse process while it is paused before launching process see http://docs.codehaus.org/display/M2ECLIPSE/Project+FAQ#ProjectFAQ-threadDump

In a mean time you could try to turn off "download sources" and "download javadocs" options in Maven preferences in Window / Prefrences... / Maven page and download artifact sources manually using Maven popup menu on corresponding artifacts.

 regards,
 Eugene

I'm seeing the same thing. Also, I have a dependency-unpack goal to unzip a
"zip" type, but m2eclipse insists on unpacking all the dependent jars, slowing
things
down. Does anyone else seeing that? Thanks

Thanks,
Mohan KR

Subject: [m2eclipse-user] m2eclipse updates maven dependencies on every Run

Hello,

the current dev build updates Maven dependencies every time I do
Run As -> Java Application

It's a little bit annoying as the update process takes usually more time than the application itself. The simplest 'hello world' takes at least 5 seconds to start running:

02.12.08 13:14:16 CET: Scanned javadoc C:/Documents and
Settings/lgawron/.m2/repository/com/mobilebox/loader/1.0.0/loader-1.0.0-java
doc.jar 0.0
