Unfortunately we have learned that order shown there is controlled by
JDT and present order reflect the actual order of libraries in the
compile-time classpath. So, arbitrary changes to order will affect
result of compilation.
However we now provide form-based Maven POM editor that allows to
sorting and quick search trough dependencies, as well as number of other
features.
As for reordering classpath containers, you may have to submit an
enhancement request to Eclipse JDT project.
