Hi, Can you help me please? I'm kind of new to the Mahout project and am very interested in class determination problem. That is, given some attributes to a system and an outcome I want to apply some learning algorithm (to train a classifier) and then apply some sort of inference model on new data.
Now I heard that Mahout does this, is that correct? I believe it uses a genetic algorithm to achieve that is that correct? Q: What version of Mahout this is in? Q: Does Mahout support class determination problem in any other way? any examples (code listing much appreciated) Q: Does anyone know of any other frameworks that support class detemination problem? I know Weka has a good collection of machine learnign algorithms but does not offer any inference models... Thanks in advance for any help on your part, I really do appreciate it Sandra.
