Hi Altaf,

First, did you instal the MCPermissions.asmx web service on the server?
You have to do that for SharePoint 2010, although if you select "SharePoint
2003" in the dropdown for the connection you should be able to at least
diagnose whether connections will work.

Most likely you have a bad URL for the site  It may be being redirected, or
it may be that someone has disabled the web services at that URL.  The best
way to figure this out is:

(1) Use the URL you actually get when SharePoint redirects you to the site
as a starting point.
(2) If the final URL you got was https://abc.def.com/foo/index.html , then
strip off the index.html and add /_vti_bin/Lists.asmx , and see what you
get.  You should get a web service info page; if you get a 404 then
something is wrong.
