Hi All, Below are notes from the last two #MesosCon <http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/mesoscon> program committee meetings.
I'm personally quite pleased by the participation we had in helping review proposals, and I look forward to our upcoming announcement regarding the MesosCon program. Dave 5/29/2014 *Attendees* Dave Lester, Isabel Jimenez, Vinod Kone, Benjamin Hindman, Timothy St Clair *Attendee/registration update* No update this week, will have updated numbers next week. *Sponsorship Update* eBay has been confirmed as a gold sponsor for MesosCon, and added to our website. The committee hopes other adopters will join and help sponsor at a gold level, and companies can inquire by contacting Dave Lester ( [email protected]). *Schedule/Program Update* Further program discussion took place between 5/22 meeting and present meeting. Final decisions on proposals have been made, and emails will be sent out to submitters shortly. An announcement regarding the program will be made this upcoming week, June 2nd. The program committee is also close to finalizing details of Mesos hackathon, to take place on Friday, August 22nd (day after main MesosCon event). Space has been confirmed by Linux Foundation at the same venue. More details to be announced. 5/22/2014 *Attendees* Dave Lester, Isabel Jimenez, Chris Aniszczyk *Attendee/registration update* No update this week *Sponsorship Update* We are continuing conversations with a potential hackathon sponsor, and hope to have more details to share soon. Waiting for confirmation from an adopter to sponsor MesosCon at the gold level. *CFP/Session Proposals* 31 community members helped review proposals as of Wednesday night. Reviews were used to create a ranked list of proposals based upon interest (by summing the number of strongly accept and accept reviews), which the program committee is using to inform final decisions about the MesosCon program. We will continue a discussion about rating/accepting proposals over email to increase program committee participation in the decisions. -- @davelester Open Source Advocate | Twitter, Inc
