Anything special about your marathon setup? Is it in docker? also can you try curl -v http://127.0.0.1:8080 if that fails ensure that your marathon is listening on the proper interface with lsof -n -i:8080. If all that checks out the cmd string you use to launch marathon would be useful. Thanks!
