It includes a custom protocol (Mesos Image Distribution Protocol <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YUN_U2luoLZpzswdNwNCchoVRFQvBlJaD90XnKh1Yd4/edit#heading=h.k9zysjsbf0a2>), the corresponding Mesos support, and Image Store Deployment guide. The Mesos Image Distribution Protocol is compatible for docker image v2 schema 1 <https://docs.docker.com/registry/spec/manifest-v2-1/> and schema 2 <https://docs.docker.com/registry/spec/manifest-v2-2/> (and potentially compatible with OCI <https://github.com/opencontainers/image-spec/blob/master/image-layout.md>).
This design doc aims for introducing an additional path to distribute container images, compared to Docker Registry API. Please take a look and leave comments.
