There have definitely been more events than are posted on the wiki. I've held probably 3 of them close to me, and I did mention some of them on this mailing list. I don't know of anything that regularly occurs - we used to have community demos, and you can find those recordings here <https://www.youtube.com/user/jamsiro>, but they haven't been held in a while.
