You have some better documentation links to work with (Thanks
@stephanse.davy), but I thought I'd comment on some of your other questions.

*> I'm using latest Ambari (2.7) and HDP-2.5. Since the default Ambari
install did not have the HDP-2.5 profile...*
Do not use Ambari 2.7.3 with HDP 2.5. Ambari 2.7.3 is only supported in HDP
3, which is currently a work-in-progress. I know that the current Metron
MPack will not work with Ambari 2.7.3. That support is available only in a
feature branch and has not been released (as of today). Try using Ambari
2.6.1 with HDP 2.5 or 2.6.

Ambari setup wizard. However, the following services are missing from the
HDP-2.5 profile: Elasticsearch, Kibana, OpenTAXII, Pycapa

   - Elasticsearch/Kibana: There is a separate MPack that must be installed to
   manage Elasticsearch in Ambari

<https://metron.apache.org/current-book/metron-deployment/packaging/ambari/elasticsearch-mpack/index.html>
[1].
   Note: I would only use this Mpack for test setups. Install Elasticsearch
   manually for any multi-node, production-ish Metron cluster. Refer to
   Elasticsearch docs for installation tips.

   - OpenTAXII: You need to install this manually. Refer to the OpenTAXII
   project for installation tips.

   - Pycapa: You need to install this manually
   <https://metron.apache.org/current-book/metron-sensors/pycapa/index.html>
[2].
   Note: This is only useful for testing purposes and will not scale to
   production work loads.

Good luck
