Hi, I have a single node metron installation where I configured a new sensor for a custom log file. I followed the instructions here https://docs.hortonworks.com/HDPDocuments/HCP1/HCP-1.9.1/add-new-telemetry/content/adding_a_new_telemetry_data_source.html
In sensor details screen, the topic name is seen as “Emitting” and in the validator panel, I can see sample messages and fields being recognized without any issues. I added the timestampField and the guid fields as well. There are no transformations or enrichments configured yet. When I run my sensor/parser, I can see messages arriving in the topic configured for the sesor and the sensor ack’ing the messages. However, I don’t see anything beyond this point. There is nothing in storm logs and even the elastic search index is not created. I was wondering: 1. In absence of any enrichments and transformations, will the message even go to indexing? My assumption is messages will go to enrichment topic (if there are any enrichments configured). Are the required/mandatory fields documented somewhere? 2. How do I go about debugging or troubleshooting this? What should I be looking for and where? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Sanket
