If you installed from RPM, and you used 
/etc/httpd/conf/midgard-db-install.sh, you should probably connect to 
http://localhost.localdomain:8888/asgard/ instead.

Looks good, mod_midgard and midgard-php are loaded.

If these are really correct things should work fine, really.

Midgard was compiled with MySQL 3.22.32-1 RPMS. Check the location of 
mysql.sock, if it is not in
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock, you may have to create a symlink to it. If 
that helps, I advise to get the SRPM and do a
rpm --rebuild midgard-1.4-1.src.rpm. This will get you RPMS that are 
compiled against your MySQL version. Slight API changes may cause 
segfaults in apache otherwise.
