That would be quite a challenge - although the code is mostly seperated from
the core php there are still some bits that are tied closely to the
interpreter. 
 
I guess the reasoning behind why you would want to use the debian php are a
bit vauge, but I would suggest that you just download the tar balls from
midgard.hklc.com/packages/debian/*.tar.gz as they should 'dpkg-buildpackage'
OK - the debs at present will only work with woody and potato apache - I think
Bergie was planning on building a better set.


If you really want to try it :) - download a clean 3.0.18 tarball, download
the midgard tarball, remove the midgard directory and diff the 2 directories -
that should give you an idea about the feasibility..
