I tried to upgrade to bash 2.04, and received the following dependency:

[root@www /]# rpm -Uvh --test /home/tmp/download/bash-2.04-11.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2) is needed by bash-2.04-11

I am in the process of retrieving the glibc-2.2-12.i386.rpm and noticed that
it is for a RedHat 7.0 distribution. I am wondering if this is going break
linux since I am technically on a RedHat 6.1 distribution.

Should I be concerned about installing GLIBC_2.2, or is there another way to
get the proper libc.so.6 without installing the complete glib set? I feel
that the tail is wagging the dog!
