*sigh* I really hate it when distro authors think they know better
than the authors of the software they use. I'm open to putting in a
test to detect this breakage. Please submit a bug report.

I don't know the specifics of MySQL, but can anyone tell me if it's
possible that we're running into a configurable size limit here?
