I fixed this to make the SCRIPT protection no longer necesary, but
forgot to take out the actual SCRIPT protection. But this fix was
post-release. The fix is in CVS at this moment. We're working on
closing the bugreports for 1.4.1 before doing another release, but
what's in CVS right now is stable.
