Long snippet paths pollute Class names as well, as mentioned in
my other mail in the original thread.

Good idea, I'd say. For snippets, the 'traditional' tree view
isn't as good and as comfortable as in other areas -- at least
not as the only way to navigate snippetdirs and not for a small
number of snippets. Another 'view' option would be great.

But this sounds best yet, I'd say. The only question is whether
we are already that far with regard to userbase and developer
community that we could not only find someone for the job now,
but also find a successor if the first CPANmaster quits. The
more important roles we rely upon, the greater the risk of
suffering from lack of time of the persons involved.
... which is exactly the reason why I won't take a permanent
responsibility.
