Greetings!

We are experiencing serious performance problems with article management
in
nadmin. The platform is the following:

        Midgard 1.4
        nadmin M2

        Red Hat Linux 6.2

        Deskpro EN SFF
        PIII 733 MHz
        128Mb RAM

All other Midgard applications work correctly, but opening an article in
nadmin makes the httpd process to take 80% of CPU time, practically
freezing the
server. We have implemented Alan's 'Midgard on speed' indexing patches
from http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=midgard-dev&m=98233550001387&w=2

These patches helped to speed up the general nadmin UI, but didn't help
with the article view.

I'm currently working on this based on a bug report from a client, and
haven't yet had the chance to access the system the problem has been
noted
on, so I haven't yet checked the article code for possible bottlenecks.
However,
as the client is in middle of a big content creation push, a solution is
needed urgently.

If there are any fixes for this, please let me know. I haven't yet tried
whether upgrading to CVS Midgard and nadmin would help, but if no
solutions
come up, I'll try that tomorrow morning. We will also upgrade memory on
the
server to 256Mb.

/Bergie
