Okay, I've managed to get to step 1.9 in the installation, but when
running ./dbinstall I get this error:

error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket:
'/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' exists!
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
