Meanwhile, I asked. It is still possible to register for a booth. AFAIK
they didn't allocate any booths yet, so it's probably possible to get
the Midgard booth close to the GIMp booth, if wished. The GIMP people
have no objections against that plan, as far as I can overlook.
Some more details:
There is an insurance, but (don't laugh) only for the staff off the
booths, not for the hardware.
They try to organize a big sleeping room or so on the territory of the
fair.
The more staff and computers a booth has, the more space they get.
Tables and chairs are available, hardware not.
Each organization is responsible for the look of its booth and how it
presents its product.
It would be nice if there would be at any time at least 2 or 3 persons
and 2 computers with running midgard / demos at the booth. (I visited
the last Linuxtage and from year to year there was an immense increase
of visitors.)
