[midgard-user] Problems while compiling midgard-data

By configuring midgard-data I get the following error:

'checking PHP version ... configure: error version must be 3 or 4'

I'm running SuSE 7.1 with apache 1.3.14, mod_php4 and have the sources for
mod_php4 installed.

Any tips?
