I tried installing the HKLC Redhat 7.1 modules on my Mandrake 8.0
system. After moving the modules to the right place for them under
Mandrake, I got the same lack of error messages as before.

Then I thought of checking php.ini, and put in an extensions=midgard.so
line. Now I actually get error_log messages when Apache fails to start.
They read:

PHP warning: midgard: Unable to [can't read my own writing] module
Module compiled with debug=0, thread_safety=0
   module API = 20001222
PHP compiled with debug=0, thread_safety=0
   module API = 20001214
These options need to match

My PHP is 4.0.4pl1. Has the module API changed for 4.0.5?

Do I need to install PHP 4.0.5? Or should I compile php-midgard
from source under PHP 4.0.4pl1? Or is the other RPM the one to
use with PHP 4.0.4pl1 (php-midgard-1.4.1-1.hklc_RH71.src.rpm
instead of 1.4.1-2)?
