I suspect that the images may not have been imported when you installed
nadmin_template.xmlgz.
does the file midgard-data.conf, repligard.conf (/usr/local/bin) all say the exactly
same location for your blobs dir?
what is the url of the attachment preview -
Do you have a host that looks like
www.myadminsite.com:8001/attachment/0
or
www.myadminsite.com/attachment/0
