OK, I found the answer to my own question.
in midgard-lib-1.4.1-5/src/defaults.h
you have to change the
#define MGD_MYSQL_HOST "localhost"
to
#define MGD_MYSQL_HOST "db.mycom.com"

will this be a configure option in the next release.
Aren't we about due for a new release. At least a bug fixed
beta? Thanks.
