Hi,
Ron Parker of Teraloop (former writer of the MWS and one of the main
contributors of the Midgard Manual) has indicated that he is no longer
able to provide the hosting of the Midgard main site, including the
mailing list traffic, and has asked that I assist in moving the services
to different locations. For most services I allready have a solution
available, for others I ask the community to step forward to help out.

Envida has decided to sponsor the bandwidth for the websites, and I will
start the migration of the mainsite to Envida servers the 1st week of
July. The new location will be on the same machine as
wwwdev.midgard-project.org.
dns:
Envida is allready running as secondary for the midgard-project.org
domain, and will gladly run primary. I will start the dns migration 1st
week of July.
mailinglists:
Envida is currently not offering mailinglists, and because of
incompatibilities of the current mailinglist software with Envida's
backend systems, it is not possible to take over the hosting of the
mailinglists within the deadline of August 1st, 2001.
I'm looking for someone in the user community who is willing to host these
list instead.
* Requirements:
- Reliable, permanent internet connection,
- Reliable machine (actively maintained).
- running qmail & ezmlm
Emile, my knowledge of qmail & ezmlm is around zilch, could you coordinate
this migration once we have found our volunteer?
I'll be away for a week starting tonight, only responding to real urgent
matters, so please don't be offended by me starting a thread and then not
taking part in it.
I would like to personally thank Ron Parker and Teraloop for their
sponsoring of the project. It is not my habit to speak for the Midgard
Project Ry, but I hope that one of the Midgard Project spokesmen will join
me in this.
