I use the lucent cards here
- home network
- main linux server with 1 pcmcia card. (running adhoc)
- 2 windows , 1 other linux box.
the linux networking is OK, it took me a while to realize that lucent have taken out
the adhoc mode in the latest drivers for windows, and you have to play with the
windows registry to get it to work.
the linux server can not bridge the network in our office (as lucent have crippled the
cards at bios level.)
we run 2 subnets and masquarade and nfs mount the main samba server onto the gateway.
the windows users complained due to the slightly flakey nature of the lucent driver.
