The fact that asgard tells you to login as 'admin+sitegroup' is a bug/typo
that needs fixing, so file a report please.

replication is really hard when coming from a pre 1.4 database, I
experienced that when moving www.midgard-project.org. Can you sum up what
kind of problems you actually ran into?

Can you repeat that when you create an brandnew sitegroup for testing
purposes?

Yep, I gave a short answer to that. If you have a backup lying around from
before the import of Nadmin, maybe you can go back to that, and redo the
import. Then try adding the sitegroup using Nadmin, logged in as System
Administrator (the dropdown box on the login page). In Nadmin lingo,
sitegroups are referred to as 'Companies'.

Let us know how that went.
