--with-mysql should point to the top directory of MySQL install (usually
/usr)

Except for --with-midgard-config other options are not required for
mod_midgard at all.

So this means that your libmidgard.so can't be properly linked. What does
'ldd /home/midgard/lib/libmidgard.so' show?
