Remove php_config.h and run mkall again. Then do a full stop-and-start
of apache.
If that doesn't help, I'd be much obliged if you could give mod2 a
spin. It handles certain things differently and may solve the problem.
One of mod2's goals is to make it simpler, thus removing where
possible the option of error.
