Thanks, that helped. I had to make one other alteration to the
midgard-config file:
I altered the include section so that -I${prefix}/include/midgard changes
to -I${prefix}/include (I've attached a diff file of midgard-config before
and after changes, in case that's useful).

(See attached file: config_diff)

mod_midgard now compiles ok, so I've progessed on to midgard-php4, using
the 1.4.2 source. Unfortunately, I'm now back to the same error output that
I was getting when compiling 1.4.1 :(

I run ./mkall /usr/local/midgard

aclocal: macro `AC_ADD_LIBPATH' defined in acinclude.m4 but never used
aclocal: macro `AC_ADD_LIBRARY' defined in acinclude.m4 but never used
aclocal: macro `AC_ADD_LIBRARY_WITH_PATH' defined in acinclude.m4 but never

autoconf: tracing failed
./mkall: ./configure: permission denied
make: no target to make.
make: don't know how to make install. Stop

So, it seems the upgrade to 1.4.2 hasn't solved the basic problem. Any
ideas on what to try next?

Thanks,
Jerry
