Hi,

Here's my suggestion: 

run your websystem from the unstable dist. Thus, install 
apache
mod_ssl (called libapache-mod-ssl I think)
php4
php4-mysql
php4-imap
php4-ldap
and 
midgard
from unstable. Thus you'll save youreself the trouble of trying to get potato to
work with midgard and get on to trying the system :=)

AFAIK apache-php4-++ is a package that it doesn't hurt the rest of the system to
run from unstable.
