Just to get things clear: you can access SG0, SG1 and SG3 (for
example, but not SG2?

mgd_auth_midgard affects what the midgard core thinks is the 'current
user'. No PHP-level variable can influence that, so 'unset'ing a
variable will leave the 'current user' unchanged as far as the core is
concerned.
