Ah, that last message is not an complaint. It's always displayed,
whether you do an upgrade or fresh install.

You'll see some error messages because it's trying to create tables
that allready exist. It should all be harmless but I haven't tested
this way of doing things. For sure do a database dump before you try
so you can go back to what you had easily.
