Not stupid at all. Keep a backup of your sources, though. You can try patch -p0 < patchfilename Depending on how much your and mine source differ that could work. If it complains, restore your saved sources, and look in the patch file. They're fairly self-descriptive; you only have to add the lines with the '+' in front of them (without the '+').
