Hi, In reaction to a thread started by Pascal, I'm in the process of creating some new tools for documentation, I have now reached a point where I call for help:
- Online FAQ system. accessible for administration from http://faq.envida.org/ live result viewable at http://www.midgard-project.org/faq/ * Needed Help: - People to create chapters, questions and/or answers How: mail me for a login. Interface is real simple. - XML Based Documentation system. This system is to replace the current manual in time. Features: - supports documentation in multiple languages - supports function lookup - DocBook 4.1.2 compliant - A documentation HOWTO available at http://www.midgard-project.org/developer/dochowto/ Downsides: - it is just the old manual in a new jacket, so it is just as outdated. accessible for editing through CVS. live result viewable at http://www.midgard-project.org/manualxml/ * Help Needed: - creation of documentation for missing functions (emile posted a complete functionlist earlier this week) - updating of /midgard/xmldoc/version.dsl with the correct Minimal Midgard version. - removal of the minimal version references in the XML files themselves. - layout, unless everyone is happy with this PHP.net look. - programming. The code for editing and deleting annotations is not ready yet. - testing. The new annotations code has not been thoroughly tested, bugreports are very welcome. - feedback. the http://www.midgard-project.org/developer/dochowto/ is based pretty much blindly on the PHPDOC howto, any feedback on the useability of the document is welcome. wkr, -- Envida http://www.envida.net/ Armand A.
