I had similar problems back on SUSE 7.1 with the mdigard 1.4.1 release.
Right now, suse 7.3 with glib-1.2.10-84
and midgard 1.4.2.1 work fine and stable, no probs, even on production
servers. And be careful with the standard apache rpm from SUSE. I had to
compile it from the scratch ...
