Yes, you're right, xsg does exactly that.
You can check it out at:
http://cvs.midgard-project.org/midgard/data/xsg/ (or directly from CVS)

Read and change the configuration file xsg.conf for your situation, should be self 
explanatory but don't be afraid to ask...
