Yeah, I was getting this too for a while , does it say something aboutr a child process as the thing that is dying? Some some weird reason random apache child processes were dying in my old setup. Besides the annoying messages, I never had any problem with the site. Either serving pages or using nadmin. This setup made those errors go away: Apache/1.3.20 (Unix) Midgard/1.4.2-cvs-20011214/SG PHP/4.1.0 in Mysql logs: > 010524 18:23:14 Aborted connection 15 to db: 'midgard' user: 'midgard' > host: `localhost' (Got an error reading communication packets) > this is known php/mysql issue: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=mysql&w=2&r=1&s=communication+packets&q=b the mysql error when away for me when I started using mysql 3.23.4x series. > FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE, Apache 1.3.17, MySQL 3.23.36, PHP 4.0.6, Midgard 1.4.2. >Everything > installed from sources. > > Question - what is the reason of these problems?.. > > -- > Regards, > Sergei Dolmatov. > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > -- Vincent Stoessel [EMAIL PROTECTED] Java Linux Apache Mysql Php (JLAMP) Engineer (301) 362-1750 Mobile (410) 419-8588 AIM, MSN: xaymaca2020 , Yahoo Messenger: vks_jamaica --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
