Bit of a long shot this one, but am interested in knowing if anyone has an idea on the high level feasibility of how you could automatically generate contextual links between articles, ie: yes - could be done, like this....., or no - can't be done, because To explain further... Once a user has created an article we would like them to be able to select easily from a list of related articles, and then ideally give the user the option of allowing the creation of seperate links at the bottom of the parent article to these related articles or even creating in-context links within relevant keywords. This is something I know commerical applications can achieve, (via the MS route) How I think this works in the commerial applications is that the user invokes MS index server which trawls through all the content and selects what it thinks are the top matches, the user then selects those relevant matches, and then choses to either automatically create links to them from the bottom of their parent article or create in-context links withen the document itself. The obvious advantage to this system is that it allows you to greatly enhance the number of routes into your content. Whilst I can imagine it's not hugely difficult to implement, step 1 above in Midgard, ie: using some kind of spider (Mngosearch) to trawl through the database and pull out relevant articles, I can't imagine how one would achieve the automatic insertion of the article location either into the bottom of the parent article or within the chosen keywords on the article content. thanks, Andrew _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
