We have used the extra1..3 fields of the article records in some
projects, but for projects where I am able to influence the
administration interface (or for those where we're building a
custom admin site) I strongly prefer using parameters to the
article records. Those can be decently named and managed, in
comparison of the old article.extra* fields.
