what does "shoot the bump" mean?

I _tried_  to answer cause I didn't see any other answer.
[...]Midgard, with MMP[...] used an old database[...]
that suggest that cache table is not in midgard db.

If I told wrong let me know.
I try to answer as best as I know midgard.
If my answers are stupid or useless , let me know.
I will have more time to count spiders on my ceiling :)
