Greetings!
Which one of the methods of using a remote MySQL database
with Midgard is the preferable one at the moment:
* Tweak midgard-lib/src/defaults.h to
#define MGD_MYSQL_HOST "my.database.host"
and recompile Midgard
* Use the new MidgardDatabase directive:
MidgardDatabase my.database.host:database user password
Is the new MidgardDatabase directive already present in
1.4.3 RC1?
If not, then the patch would be required. The original URL supplied
by Emile in
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=midgard-user&m=98457479203002&w=2
was not accessible...
BTW. Any usage experiences from using a remote DB? How does this
affect performance?
/Bergie
