It's going to be harder than that, unfortunately. The latest PHP alpha (php-4.3.0-dev-zend2-alpha2) and the nightly PHP snapshot both fail to compile on MacOSX. I have tried ptching 4.2.1 with the 'fixed' dl.c, but it didn't work either. I suspect something in the configure process has changed as well, but I am not going there.
