I did that, but when I looked at the files installed from the Midgard rpm, it looked like the files from the midgard-data package were already installed in the httpd/htdocs directory, /etc, and in /usr/sbin. Another list member gave me instructions for searching for the ./dbinstall script as locate -e dbinstall, but that turned up nothing.
I have database-upgrade, midgard-config, and repligard in /usr/sbin. Asgard-1.4.1-xml.gz and empty.sql are in /etc/midgard. I get SuSE's test page when I try to reach any of the port numbers which makes me think the databases aren't installed. Would having duplicates of the midgard-data files have any effect? Would the RPM version be able to find the midgard-data files in a place different from where they expect? Your suggestion would certainly be the easiest, but I'm not sure how, or if, midgard files look for other midgard files in installation dependent places. Thanks for your help. If you can advise about the above, I'd certainly appreciate it.
