I'd propose send a standard reply back. In general it's not a good
idea to make private mails publicly available without permission.

Something like that... you got the idea.
Recent Traffic on midgard-user shows, that Midgard's Installation is
still too difficult for the casual user, Questions about RPMs or DEBs
for various distributions keep popping up as well as regular requests
for .tar.gz Installation help.
We would probably see these a lot less if we presented the
RPM and DEB packages as the primary downloads, and the
source tarballs only as an alternative to users running
platforms where binaries are not available.
If Midgard-lite and Rexgard are really working, we should
also promote these on the site as the easy-install alternatives
for low volume environments and testing.
Maybe think about the "midgard meets midgard-lite" also. I have no
time to make it ready for production currently, but it's maybe less
work than to bring midgrad-lite or rexgard near perfection.
Installation should be very simple if we precompile the extension
with static midgard-lib for some php versions. We could even write
a install script, which checks the php version and downloads the
right extension.
