I just checked and I do have glib-devel-1.2.10-8 installed. I used the --replacepkgs option for rpm to re-install the package just to be sure the files were sane but the same problem persists.

Could some environment variable be corrupt? Could there be a problem since I have packages installed and source compiled?

This is most likely something simple that is driving me nuts.

I am trying to compile mod-midgard-1.4.3 on RedHat 8.0. I have compiled
glib-1.2.10, glib-1.3.15, and glib-2.0.6. When I try to run ./configure
on mod_midgard-1.4.3 and get

configure: error: You need glib

I have the path /usr/local/lib in my /etc/ld.so.conf file and have run
sbin/ldconfig as root.

What am I missing to get it to find glib.
Glib-devel. You need the headers in addition to the runtime libs.
